Meet Our Interventionists

Certified National Alcohol & Drug Interventionists

Bobby Nicholl

When I’m asked to help coordinate a professional intervention, my heart and soul is committed to doing whatever it takes to making the intervention successful. Tenacity is my middle name. Being allowed into a family’s or friend’s mission to save their loved ones from the perils of addiction is a passion of my heart. My Pastor, Rick Warren, recently stated during a sermon, “How do you spell Love? Not L-O-V-E, but S-H-O-W U-P, be there to care enough to show up. Intervening on someone you care about is faith in action.  Addiction is defined as a chronic, relapsing brain disease that is characterized by compulsive drug seeking and use, despite harmful consequences. It is considered a brain disease because drugs change the brain; they change its structure and how it works. These brain changes can be long lasting and can lead to many harmful, often self-destructive, behaviors. Even death. Interventions save people from having to hit bottom. If someone you love is in jeopardy due to an addiction to drugs or alcohol, do not believe the myth that he/she must “hit bottom” first, in order to be helped. It is absolutely untrue, because bottom may be six feet under. A structured intervention, if done properly, will lead the dependent person to the help needed to begin recovery. My 99% success rate speaks volumes about my ability to do interventions properly. An intervention is doing the right thing. Deciding on treatment is doing the right thing. In fact, the only time doing the right thing is wrong, is when you don’t do it. Help Can’t wait, so don’t wait before it’s too late. Sincerely, Bobby Nicholl

Donna Chavous

Donna Chavous entered the recovery community in 1994 kicking and screaming, not wanting to change her life. She was introduced to recovery through an Intervention by a friend and family, and the local police department. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California Donna, attended Beverly Hills High School and then graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in English and headed straight to the Hollywood scene. She started in the Mailroom and soon thereafter stepped into the fast lane as a Hollywood Agent at Creative Artist’s Agency in 1984, representing actors and directors and eventually crashed and burned. After getting sober she returned to Hollywood for six years as a Talent Manager at SLBG Entertainment and at NBC with Peter Engel. During her time as a manager she suffered the loss of a colleague and a client from the disease of addiction. These losses dramatically changed her perspective on life and she ended up taking a job at a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center in Malibu California, while continuing as a Talent Manager. While working at that Treatment Center Donna further enhanced her knowledge of how addiction affects the family as well as the patient. She has been sober for 21 years and because of her experience with people from all walks of life, has been able to utilize her gift of gab to compassionately guide those who need help to make a positive change by implementing Interventions. Donna loves the Intervention process because it not only save her life but it has allowed her to assist others in potentially saving theirs. She now resides between New York and Los Angeles and has been performing Interventions nationwide for the past 14 years and has continued her education in the field of addiction by attending Fordham University School of Social Work in New York City. Donna is a Certified Intervention Specialist and also a Certified Case Manager Interventionist. In 2010 Donna joined the Emmy nominated show Intervention on A&E for her premiere foray in front of the camera and was still shooting new episodes as of 2017.
